Go News: Spring international team tournament
I've copied an e-mail from Jonathan Turner, Central London Go Club secretary that may be of interest to members:
If you're interested in playing, even if you don't have a full team, the organiser would like to hear from you.

Dear All,
The grass is growing, the flowers are blooming and the birds are singing. Yes it can only mean one thing - it's time for the Spring International Team Tournament. This year it is scheduled for Saturday 12th April from 10am till 6pm, at the Nippon Club. As previous team captains, club contacts or people who may be interested in forming a team I am contacting you to see if you will be able to form a team for the tournament. Teams would preferably consist of 5 players - hopefully of dan or strong kyu strength. However if you are struggling to form a full team let me know and I can arrange some substitutes.
As usual we shall start the registration at 10am so that we can start the first round at 10.30. The time limit and number of rounds will be confirmed closer to the time when I have a better idea of interest. However we usually have three or four rounds with time limits around 40 minutes and 30 moves in 5 minutes for byomi. Komi will be 6.5.
We will have Japanese bento lunch after the second round. Entry including bento will be £12.
Please could you confirm whether you will be able to form a team or part of a team. A little nearer the time I will need to confirm number of attendees and their bento preference.
If you have any queries with regards to the tournament please don't hesitate to ask. Many thanks for your time.
Regards,
Jonathan Turner,
Central London Go Club secretary
